While the national title contenders had no problems what so ever in week 2; Alabama cruising against Western Kentucky, USC putting up big numbers against Syracuse and LSU demolishing Washington, the big move was #8 Arkansas losing at home to Louisiana Monroe, dropping out of the rankings for the second biggest fall in the history of the AP Poll, behind Michigan’s fall from #5 in 2007.

2012 NFL Season – Week 1 Predictions
The 2012 NFL season officially began on Wednesday, when the Super Bowl champions New York Giants lost at home to the Dallas Cowboys, but a full list of games on Sunday, with the Pittsburgh Steelers facing the Denver Broncos and the Peyton Manning debut is the biggest source of interest, while Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III make their debuts as well, in Chicago and New Orleans.

The second week of College Football should be a rather easy one for the national champion contenders, with Alabama hosting Western Kentucky, USC visiting Syracuse and LSU hosting Washington. The most interesting games should be SEC debuts for Missouri, hosting Georgia, and Texas A&M hosting Florida.

The 2012 Basketball Hall of Fame Inductees
The last week had a lot of discussions whether Reggie Miller deserves to be in the hall of fame. In our opinion, or at least the one from two years ago, he’s one of the top 10 shooting guards ever, and certainly a player who deserves a place in the hall, along the other players inducted in 2012: Don Barksdale, Jamaal Wilkes, Mel Daniels and Chet Walker.

Second Half Pressure Too Much for Pumas (All Blacks vs Argentina)
In the first half the stormy weather and a surprisingly tenacious and efficient Argentina took the All Blacks by surprise. In the second half the storm settled, and so did the New Zealand players, looking much more accurate and confident on offense, with Cory Jane and Julian Savea making it a third consecutive win in the Rugby Championship, 21-5.
