Yankees Over Angels – Hits are Overrated
A team can get only three hits in a game and still win. The New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels behind another strong pitching performance from Masahiro Tanaka and a wild pitch thrown by Nick Maronde, giving the AL East leaders a 3-2 win.

Tracy McGrady, Officially a Sugar Land Skeeters Baseball Player
You don’t usually see future NBA hall of famers (right?) start a new career in a whole new different sport once they retire, but Tracy McGrady has taken his love for baseball into the professional zone, being named to the roster of the Sugar Land Skeeters before they open the season, although many believe this to be a publicity stunt.

Red Sox Over Yankees – Michael Pineda Can’t Stop Cheating
Two weeks ago Michael Pineda and the New York Yankees were able to get away with the pitcher using pine tar for a few innings. Despite knowing the attention will be on him, he used some of the substance on his neck, and Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell didn’t wait long before bringing it to the umpires attention, tossing Pineda out of the game, while the Red Sox claimed the 5-1 victory in the end.

Angels Over Nationals – This Year It’s Different
It hasn’t been the most rewarding of periods since signing for the Los Angeles Angels. But after two rough seasons, being overpaid and under performing, Albert Pujols is playing like the guy he was before, blasting home runs at an alarming rate, and reaching the 500 club with two in the 7-2 win over the Washington Nationals.

Yankees Over Red Sox – A Victorious Homecoming
The spotlight was on Jacoby Ellsbury, playing in Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox as a member of the New York Yankees for the first time. The crowd was silenced quickly, the boos and jeers didn’t really matter. Ellsbury had a good day on the field, and the Yankees came away with the 9-3 win.
-
Pirates Over Reds – Memorable Grand Slam Home Run
An important win for the Pittsburgh Pirates over the Cincinnati Reds came thanks to a Neil Walker walk-off single, but Ike Davis hitting a grand slam home run earlier in the game was possibly the more interesting moment in the 6-5 victory.
-
Braves Over Mets – Almost a No Hitter
Right now, it’s hard to find a team playing better than the Atlanta Braves in all of Baseball. Their 6-0 win over the New York Mets showcased some incredible pitching, as Aaron Harang finished the game with a 7-inning no hitter that was “ruined” later on by the bullpen, eventually allowing David Wright to get a single hit in the game for the losing side.
-
Yankees Over Rays – Triple Play Steals the Show
A lot of good things are happening right now for the New York Yankees: The winning streak, CC Sabathia looking better, big hitting from Alfonso Soriano and Brian McCann. However, triple plays don’t come around too often, and the one that did stole the spotlight in the 10-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
-
A’s Over Angels – Somehow They Pulled it Off
The A’s keep finding ways to get out of tough situations and come up with dramatic wins. The next in this impressive line of victories came over the Los Angeles Angels, beating their division rivals 10-9 thanks to Josh Donaldson hitting and RBI double in the 11th inning.

Giants Over Dodgers – It Had to End at Some Point
There’s a problem with Baseball and the length of certain games, and the San Francisco Giants beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 after 12 innings and most importantly six minutes shy of five hours is a perfect example of a sport that has games run a bit too long.
