Chicago Bears – Jay Cutler Finally Gets Some Protection
It’s not that Jay Cutler was so great upon his return after taking a week and two quarters off after a concussion. Still, the quarterback is better than anything else the Chicago Bears can field instead of him, and with the usual help of the best defense in the NFL, the losing streak ended and the playoffs are once again a very short distance away.

2012 College Football Season – Week 13 BCS Standings
Well, no surprises, and no actual change. Notre Dame are number one in the polls and the computers, meaning they rule the BCS standings and won’t be moved, regardless of the results of the conference championship games next week. Alabama or Georgia have somewhat of a semifinal on their hands heading into the SEC title game, with the rest of the fog mostly regarding BCS bowl slots.

2012 College Football Season – Week 13 Rankings
No real change at the top 25 of the AP Poll, as Notre Dame passed the biggest test of their weekend, a visit to USC, with another impressive defensive stand. The other two claimants to the BCS national championship game, Alabama and Georgia, had no problem beating their in-state nemesis on rivalry week.

Alabama Crimson Tide – The Easiest of Iron Bowls
Iron Bowls are supposed to be about hate, tight games and a lot of blood (metaphorical) spilled in order to beat your biggest rival, sometimes only to spoil their chances of winning something. Alabama expected something like that, but got no such thing in a 49-0 beat down.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish – Defense Shines in Perfect Season
The only undefeated team left, with something to play for. No one would have put their money on Notre Dame to be a huge success this season, let alone finish it undefeated and be the only team to clinch their spot in the BCS national championship game while the rest are still battling for their place in their pecking order.

College Football – Final BCS Picture Not Much Clearer
The only thing we do know, is that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be playing in the BCS National Championship game in Miami six weeks from now. The rest? Hard to say, but there’s an almost definite chance that the winner of the SEC championship game between Georgia and Alabama will be the team to join them in the battle for the title.

2012 NFL Season – Week 12 Predictions
Thanksgiving weekend means a shorter Sunday schedule, but still plenty of prime action. The New York Giants host the Green Bay Packers and the red hot Aaron Rodgers on Sunday Night, while the Chicago Bears try to stop the slide against division rivals Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons trying to remain the best in the NFC facing a streaking Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

2012 College Football Season – Week 13 Predictions
Rivalry week, week 13 of College Football. It comes down to a hobbled and disappointing USC Trojans team, the number one preseason pick, to try and stop the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from reaching the BCS Championship game. Alabama and Georgia are next in line, with a good chance of dueling for the second spot in the SEC title game, while Oregon and Florida wait (hoping to win) for a slip up.
-
New England Patriots – Tom Brady vs the Bizarro Him
Not having any kind of quarterback controversy (among other problems) like his rivals made it another easy day for Tom Brady. The New England Patriots have quite a few faults that might (and should) keep them from winning the Super Bowl, but for Brady and Belichick, there’s plenty in the arsenal to rule the AFC East.

Buffalo Bills – When Ryan Fitzpatrick Doesn’t Turn it Over
Sometimes, a few good things come together for the Buffalo Bills. The defense finally showed up, getting 3 sacks and forcing three turnovers, while the highly erratic Ryan Fitzpatrick played his most conservative game this season while special teams did all of the scoring.
