  • Wayne Rooney – Wrist Breaker

Wayne Rooney didn’t score in Manchester United’s comfortable 5-0 win over Wolves, but there’s no doubt that he’s rebounded this season after a troublesome 2010-2011 campaign. He has scored 20 league goals for United in 25 matches, leading the way to what might be a fifth league title in six years. But at least he did get some damage done at Wolverhampton.

  • Real Madrid & Jose Mourinho Not So Confident Anymore

Real Madrid, as a club – manager and players all together, simply took a rifle and shot themselves in the foot. Instead of keeping Barcelona at an unreachable place behind them, 10 impossible to catch up and erase points, it suddenly six, with Mourinho and his players completely flipping out during their 1-1 draw with Villareal, as Mourinho, Sergio Ramos and Mesut Ozil got sent off.

  • Going Along With the Lionel Messi Hero Worship

After the 5-goal festival against Leverkusen we needed a bit of a rest, but his hat-trick for Barcelona against Granada turned him into the club’s all time leading goal scorer at the age of 24. And so, the festival and cult of personality around him continues.

  • Real Madrid & Jose Mourinho Too Good to Start Slipping Now

Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho have a chance of doing something special this season. Upstaging Barcelona in both the league and the Champions League while setting records as a team, while the Special one has a chance of becoming the first manager to win the Champions League with three different clubs. Talking and whining about unimportant things can just derail the team from it’s incredible path.

  • Does This Mean Fernando Torres is Good Again?

Last time Fernando Torres scored, before his Leicester double? October 19, 2011, in a Champions League match against Racing Genk. Now, he’s actually managed, maybe, to bring back Torres on the score sheet.

  • Kenny Dalglish Finally Finding the Right Formula (Liverpool vs Stoke)

Liverpool were good enough to actually beat Stoke, something that doesn’t usually happen since Stoke have been promoted and become something of a regular fixture, for good and bad of the English Premier League. Luis Suarez found the net, and even Stewart Downing, with Peter Crouch scoring against his ex in between. It didn’t help much, as a possible Merseyside derby looms ahead for Kenny Dalglish and Steven Gerrard.

  • Manchester United at Wolves – Too Easy For League Leaders

Wolves haven’t won at home since December 4, so there wasn’t much hope the bottom ranked team in the Premier League would actually stop Manchester United’s stride towards their fifth league title in six years. Still, a 0-5 home defeat as Ronald Zubar picked up two yellow cards in 11 minutes while Javier Hernandez broke his league scoring drought with a brace. And to think United lost 2-1 on their last visit to the Molineux.

  • Probably a bit Too Late for Juventus to Start Scoring Now

Antonio Conte saw his team win their first match in a month, after four consecutive draws in the league and only three goals scored. Juventus lost their grip on the top spot in the Serie A and slowly slipped four points behind AC Milan, who have come together, with a refreshed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, just in time. The 5-0 away win over Fiorentina might be too late, despite the 10 matches still left to play.
