July the first marks the first day of another round of realignment in College Sports and specifically in College Football, with most of the noise coming from those joining the Big Ten, Maryland and Rutgers, and also Louisville and becoming a full time member in the ACC.

2014 World Cup – Lionel Messi Can’t Win for Argentina on his Own
Beating Bosnia 2-1 was a decent way to start off a World Cup for Argentina and especially Lionel Messi, visibly burdened by the pressure and expectations. However, his attempt to make it all happen on his own didn’t work out so well until he and the team changed their approach. Carrying on that way will only result in heartache for him and the nation that expects so much of him.

NBA Playoffs – LeBron James Trying to do the Impossible
Against all odds seems to be a very fitting theme for what the Miami Heat are trying to do with elimination starting them straight in the face. LeBron James has another opportunity to carve his name on the NBA’s wall of immortality, although trying to change the direction in which this finals series is going might be the most difficult thing he has ever had to face.

NBA Playoffs – Dwyane Wade Getting Old, LeBron James Getting Frustrated
Determining the fate of a franchise based on two bad games is wrong. LeBron James is still the best player in the league, and Dwyane Wade isn’t about to retire anytime soon. But from what we’ve been seeing in these last two games from the Miami Heat, there’s a feeling that this wonderful run the Big Three (along with Chris Bosh) have had over the last four years is reaching its final stop.
