While Alabama, Louisville and Michigan didn’t break a sweat in dominant wins over unranked teams, Tennessee showed their true worth by finally beating Florida while erasing a 21-point deficit, Auburn beat LSU without even scoring a touchdown, and Wisconsin impressed by dominating Michigan State in East Lansing, getting their second win over a top 10 team this season.

Kent State (1-3) 0  #1 Alabama (4-0) 48: The big news out of this easy game was losing running back Damien Harris to injury. Joshua Jacobs ran for a couple of touchdowns and 97 yards.

#3 Louisville (4-0, 2-0 ACC) 59  Marshall (1-2) 28: The Lamar Jackson show continues, this time with 5 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing scores, as Louisville put up almost 700 yards of offense.

Penn State (2-2, 0-1 Big Ten) 10  #4 Michigan (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten): The Wolverines led 28-0 before the Nittany Lions got anything done. De’Veon Smith ran for 107 yards and a score, while Karan Higdon ran for a couple of touchdowns.

#5 Clemson (4-0, 1-0 ACC) 26  Georgia Tech (3-1, 1-1 ACC): The Clemson used all of their firepower in the first half, including two Deshaun Watson touchdown passes, to take a 23-0 lead. The defense did the rest, holding the Yellow Jackets to only 124 yards all game.

#6 Houston (4-0) 64  Texas State (1-2) 3: Another easy win on the Cougars schedule that won’t impress anyone, holding the Bobcats to just 142 yards of offense and improve to 4-0.

#7 Stanford (3-0, 2-0 Pac-12) 22  UCLA (2-2, 1-1 Pac-12) 13: With 6:32 left, UCLA had a 13-9 lead. They didn’t allow a Chris McCaffrey score. But with 24 seconds to go, Ryan Burns connected with JJ Arcega-Whiteside to take the lead, and Solomon Thomas scored another touchdown on a fumble return with time expiring to remain undefeated.

#9 Washington (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) 35  Arizona (2-2, 0-1 Pac-12) 28: The teams traded touchdowns until overtime, when a Jake Browning 4-yard pass to Dante Pettis gave Washington the lead and the win. Lavon Coleman stood out with 181 yards and a touchdown run.

#11 Wisconsin (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) 30  #8 Michigan State (2-1, 0-1 Big Ten) 6: What a defensive performance by the Badgers, forcing four turnovers and getting their 2nd top 10 win of the season. Corey Clement ran for a couple of touchdowns.

#12 Georgia (3-1, 1-1 SEC) 14  #23 Ole Miss (2-2, 1-1 SEC) 45: The Rebels didn’t drop a huge lead this time, getting 282 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown from Chad Kelly, to keep them in the running for the SEC West title, hoping for Alabama and others to start slipping up.

#13 Florida State (3-1) 55  South Florida (3-1) 35: Despite scoring 35 on the Seminoles, this wasn’t the breakout game for the Bulls they wished for. It was 45-14 before it became a big more respectable, with FSU rushing for 478 yards, including Dalvin Cook going for 267 and two touchdowns.

#17 Arkansas (3-1, 0-1 SEC) 24  #10 Texas A&M (4-0, 2-0 SEC) 45: The win to join Alabama on top of the SEC West, with Arkansas not showing up for the second half after the game was tied 17-17 entering the third quarter. Trevor Knight threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more, while the defense had three huge stops in the red zone to hold Arkansas from scoring.

#14 Florida (3-1, 1-1 SEC) 28  #19 Tennessee (4-0, 1-0 SEC) 38: For the first time in 11 years, Tennessee beat Florida, coming from behind to erase a 0-21 deficit and score 38 consecutive points on the Gators. Joshua Dobbs threw four touchdown passes (and two interceptions) and also ran for a touchdown himself.

Oklahoma State (2-2, 0-1 Big 12) 24  #16 Baylor (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) 35: Seth Russell threw four touchdown passes as the teams traded touchdowns until the go-ahead, 89-yard touchdown pass to Chris Platt in the third quarter.

#18 LSU (2-2, 1-1 SEC) 13  Auburn (2-2, 1-1 SEC) 18: Not LSU’s season, as their supposed game-winning touchdown with time expiring got called off for not getting the ball into play in time. Auburn won by scoring six field goals, and holding LSU scoreless in the fourth quarter.

#20 Nebraska (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) 24  Northwestern (1-3, 0-1 Big Ten) 13: The Big Ten opener for the Cornhuskers wasn’t smooth, but Tommy Armstrong Jr. had another big day to claim the win in Evanston, despite a couple of turnovers.

USC (1-3, 0-2 Pac-12) 27  #24 Utah (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) 31: This looked like the game USC would end their miserable early start to the season, but they dropped a 14-point second half lead, and gave a touchdown after a 93-yard drive by the Utes, ending with the game winning touchdown, a Troy Williams 18-yard pass to Tim Patrick.
