Marko Pantelic of Serbia scored his eighth goal for the national team, equalizing their match against Northern Ireland after a nice build up play.

CSKA’s Moscow’s Zoran Tosic put in the winner in this match, his sixth for the national team, with a fantastic left footed shot from the edge of the box into the top of the goal, giving Serbia the 2-1 win, moving them to third in Group C.

Ibrahim Affelay scored his third goal for the Dutch national team in their 4-0 win over Hungary, remaining perfect (5-5) in Group E. Affelay made it 2-0.

The Brazilian Born Thiago Motta scored Italy’s only goal in their 1-0 victory away against Slovenia, making it a six point difference on top of Group C. This was also sort of a revenge match after Slovenia knocked Italy out in the last World Cup.

We saved the best for last, as Jaroslav Plasil of the Czech Republic gave the World Champions a temporary scare in Spain, hitting one from nearly 30 yards to beat Iker Casillas. David Villa’s double gave Spain the win eventually, making him the highest goalscorer for the Spanish national team in history with 46 goals, leaving Raul behind.
