Game 1 of the NBA finals was a fertile ground for memes, some praising Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. However, most of them made fun of LeBron James, Tyronn Lue and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Even Jeff Van Gundy got a few mentions after he mentioned Rihanna during the game. But the moral of the story? The Warriors are f***ing good, Kevin Durant is incredible, and if the Cavaliers don’t figure a few things out very quickly, this might be a very short series.

The scary thing is that the Warriors weren’t that clinical on offense. Yes, Durant & Curry were clicking, but Draymond Green and Klay Thompson had bad nights on offense. However, their defense more than made up for it, providing the canvas for Durant & Curry to show their full offensive arsenal.

Lue had a lot of jokes made at his expense, both for his faux clueless faces on the sidelines, and for his comment during the series against the Boston Celtics, mentioning their offense being more difficult to defend than the Warriors. Turns out he was wrong.
