Premier League: Week 10 Results & League Table

Fernandinho, Kevin De Bruyne

All of the Premier League’s big sides and championship contender played on a busy Saturday that opened week 10. It kicked off with Manchester United edging Spurs for a boost in the title race, while Manchester City stayed 5 points clear with a win in the midlands. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool won their matches to complete the top 6, while Stoke won at Watford and Crystal Palace drew with West Ham in dramatic fashion.

Manchester United 1  Tottenham 0With both sides missing key players, it was a tense match at Old Trafford, decided in the 80th minute by a clinical finish via Anthony Martial, giving United a bit of separation from Spurs and Chelsea, while they keep up with their city rivals, five points ahead of them.

Arsenal 2  Swansea 1Things are never easy for the Gunners, but despite all the criticism, they’ve come into their own, winning four of their last five matches to find themselves in 5th, tied for points with Chelsea in 4th. The Welsh side took the lead through Sam Clucas in the 22nd minute, but an 8 minute blitz from Sead Kolašinac and Aaron Ramsey gave Arsene Wenger a deserved win.

Crystal Palace 2  West Ham 2Palace pick up their 4th point of the season, not letting two first half goals by West Ham (Chicharito and Andre Ayea) let them down. Luka Milivojević put Palace back on track and Wilfried Zaha’s strike in the 90th minute levelled the score.

Liverpool 3  Huddersfield 0After an unconvincing start and a penalty miss by Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool side missing quite a few key players found its ground, getting goals from Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum, keeping a 3-point distance from the 4th spot.

Watford 0  Stoke 1Despite all the praise heaped at them, the Wasps constantly struggle to win points at home. This time, a terrific finish by Darren Fletcher off a corner kick sent Watford to a second consecutive loss.

West Brom 2  Manchester City 3An inconsistent performance from City, but enough moments of creativity kept them undefeated and five points clear at the top. Leroy Sane, Fernandinho and Raheem Sterling scored for the visitors, while Jay Rodriguez and Matt Phillips helped keep things interesting.

Bournemouth 0  Chelsea 1Not the best of performances by Chelsea, but Eden Hazard gave them a win down south, which leaves them in 4th place, while the Cherries are still with just 7 points from 10 matches, languishing in 19th.
