The suspension of Ezekiel Elliott hit the Dallas Cowboys hard, but the Philadelphia Eagles walking all over them hit even harder. The memes coming after their huge loss couldn’t have made them too happy as well.
But that is what happens when you’re the Cowboys and you lose big. The Eagles won 37-9, scoring 30 unanswered points to win the game. The Cowboys didn’t score a single touchdown, as Dak Prescott got sacked four times and intercepted three times. The great offensive line wall the Cowboys were always so proud of fell apart, at home.
Meanwhile, the 9-1 Eagles look like the best team in the NFC by far, if anyone had any doubt. Whether things would have been different had the Cowboys played with their injured/suspended players doesn’t matter – right now, they don’t look like a team that’s good enough to make the playoffs.
Maybe the Cowboys bounce back, or perhaps this is the sign that this season is now a raging dumpster fire. What’s worse: This is one of those losses that makes them think about Prescott not being their future QB, while signs of the offensive line losing its dominance show up at an alarming rate.
