The first round of the 2018 NFL Draft is behind us, which makes way for the memes, mostly making fun of the Cleveland Browns and their first overall selection, quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield is being targeted for a number of reasons: It’s the Browns, he’s first overall and there’s no real standout quarterback in this class, so it’s simply easier to make fun of all them.

Another player getting a bit of jokes thrown his way is Sam Darnold of USC, who’ll play for the New York Jets. A combination that at least until we see him doing something on the field will automatically generate laughs.

And finally, the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas have done a good job with their first round picks over the last five or six years, but the automatic response to any selection they make is ridicule, because of their status as the most popular and the most hated franchise in the United States. Leighton Vander Esch, a big, athletic linebacker out of Boise State, will try to prove the critics wrong.
