As the NFL season got back on track carrying on with another week, the shadow of Colin Kaepernick, his workout and the possibility of him coming back dominated the meme-sphere.

Kaepernick put on a private workout, after ditching the one the NFL set up for him on suspiciously short notice, and by all accounts looked impressive moving and throwing the ball, almost three years removed since he last played in the league.

Does the league actually want to make amends with Kaepernick? Doesn’t feel like it, but we don’t really know. Are teams willing to ignore the “baggage” and controversy that will come with adding him to their roster? Probably not, but we’ll have to wait and see.

The debate on whether Kaepernick was 100% blackballed, partially blackballed or simply legitimately taken out of consideration will continue for quite some time, especially if teams pass on this opportunity to sign him.
