The Dallas Mavericks will be active on the market in the upcoming period. According to various sources, Mark Cuban and his management are already working on luring the potential additions to the Mavs’ squad.

Mavericks Aim Deep Postseason Run

Nobody could expect such a stunning rise of Luka Doncic, who is twice as impressive as during his rookie season. He is threatening to overshadow the entire league, but not only that. Luka is posting unreal statistical numbers, and, his Mavericks are way above all the projections. It seems that they didn’t plan to reach this point so early, and they are now looking to shop around the league and to give a proper back up for one of the most promising duos in the league, Doncic-Porzingis.

The Latvian player is still recovering from his tough injuries and needs some help. In order to do so, the Mavs are already starting to asses the possible trade, which could benefit them immediately.

Schroder and Parker as Targets

Dennis Schroder and Jabari Parker are top picks for the Mavs according to various sources around the league.

OKC’s backup point guar would strengthen the backcourt, while Parker’s arrival would mean that Porzingis has a decent replacement. And not only that, the Mavs would get a duo able to step in without changing the philosophy of the game too much.

So far this season, the German point guard averaged 15.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Parker meanwhile, is very good in Atlanta with 16.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

Neither of these teams has some interest in keeping them around because they are not in the playoff zone, and probably won’t be, and both are in the process of reconstruction.

Also, many are suggesting that Andre Iguodala is a possible addition to the franchise from Dallas, because they have the resources to get him.

With these three guys, Doncic will no doubt get a respectable squad. Having in mind that so far, Mavericks performed superbly, defeating the biggest title contenders, making noise during the postseason wouldn’t be far away.

And if Luka continues to play like this, maybe even the NBA Finals.
