There was more to Tuesday and Wednesday than just Barcelona vs Milan, with Real Madrid grabbing a win in Zagreb with 10 men and Inter stunned by Trabzonspor at the San Siro.
Group A
Manchester City 1 Napoli 1
Two teams making their debut in the Champions League and producing one of the more enjoyable games of the firstĀ game week. Edinson Cavani opened the scoring for Napoli, stunning the home fans, but Aleksandar Kolarov equalized pretty quickly to share the points.
Villareal 0 Bayern Munich 2
Bayern had no trouble with Villareal at the Madrigal, with an early Toni Kroos goal helping the Germans settle, and Rafinha clinched the victory with a 76th minute goal.
Group B
Internazionale 0 Trabzonspor 1
The biggest upset of the last two days and one of the greatest ever. The Turkish side entered the Champions League this year only because Fenerbahce got thrown out due to corruption. Ondrej Celutska scored the historic winner.
Lille 2 CSKA Moscow 2
Another fantastic game, with Lille scoring two goals in twelve minutes – One cheeky heel by Moussa Sow and a fantastic strike by Benoit Pedretti. CSKA equalized with Seydou Doumbia scoring twice, equalizing in the 90th minute.

Benfica 1 Manchester United 1
Oscar Cardozo opened the scoring for Benfica, the wonderful Ryan Giggs equalized before half time.
FC Basel 2 Otelul Galati 1
A Frei double – Alexander Frei scored the winner with a late penalty, and Fabian Frei opened the scoring for the Swiss. The RomanianĀ Cinderella had Maruis Pena score their first Champions League goal.

Ajax Amsterdam 0 Lyon 0
Mostly fantastic saves by both keepers, Kenneth Vermeer of Ajax and Hugo Lloris from Lyon.
Dinamo Zagreb 0 Real Madrid 1
Angel Di Maria scored the only goal in a match Real should have won with a much more impressive scoreline. Marcelo got sent off after diving.

Chelsea 2 Bayer Leverkusen 0
Another far from impressive homeĀ performanceĀ for Andre Villas-Boas’ men ended well. David Luiz scored a wonderful opener and Juan Manuel Mata put the match beyond doubt.
Racing Genk 0 Valencia 0
Valencia were the better team as the Belgians struggled to create significant chances, but without real results.

Borrusia Dortmund 1 Arsenal 1
Arsene Wenger’s rocky ship nearly grabbed a win at theĀ mesmerizingĀ Dortmund stadium. Robin Van Persie (who else) scored for Arsenal, Ivan Perisic scored a once in aĀ lifetimeĀ equalizer two minutes from time.
Olympiakos 0 Marseille 1
Greek football, at club level, continues toĀ sinkĀ as Marseille dominated and won after a Lucho Gonzalez goal.

APOEL Nicosia 2 Zenit 1
The Russian scored first through Konstantins Zyryanov, but the Cypriots scored two goals in three minutes – Gustavo Manduca and Ailton Almeida.
FC Porto 2 Shakhtar Donetsk 1
Only Brazilians scored in thisĀ intriguingĀ encounter, with Luiz Adriano putting ShakhtarĀ in frontĀ early on. Hulk, missing a penalty earlier, rifled in a huge free kick and Kleber scored the winner in the second half.

Barcelona 2 AC Milan 2
THE match of the weekend ended in a 2-2 draw, with Milan taking the edges, opening with Pato (25 seconds) and closing with a Thiago Silva equalizer, in injury time. In the middle? David Villa and Pedro.
Viktoria Plzen 1 BATE Borisov 1
Plzen got their debut point in the Champions League with Marek Bakos scoring their first ever goal in the competition. Renan Bressan gave Borisov the draw.
