LSU and Alabama continued to run through the SEC and college Football, setting up a no.1 vs no.2 next week, the second time a 1-2 game has happened between SEC teams. Meanwhile, Oklahoma lost to Texas Tech, replaced by Oklahoma State at no.3, their highest rankings since 1984.

1. LSU Tigers, 8-0 (49 first place votes) – The Tigers tore threw the other SEC Tigers, Auburn, the exiting national champions, beating them 45-10.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide, 8-0 (10) – Things didn’t go easy in the first half for Alabama, but eventually got an impressive 37-6 win over Tennessee.

3. Oklahoma State Cowboys, 7-0 – A new Oklahoma at no.3, State, after beating Missouri 45-24 and rising three places in the rankings.

4. Stanford Cardinal, 7-0 – Rising four spots, Stanford crushed Washington 65-21, with 446 yards on the ground, with three players finishing with over 90 yards.

5. Boise State Broncos, 7-0 (1) – Had a rough time against Air Force, beating them 37-26 at home, with another impressive day from Kellen Moore.

6. Clemson Tigers, 8-0 – Clemson keep on winning, beating North Carolina 59-38. Quarterback Tajh Boyd threw for 367 yards and five Touchdowns. The Tigers moved up two spots.

7. Oregon Ducks, 6-1 – Rising two spots after beating Colorado thoroughly 45-2.

8. Arkansas Razorbacks, 6-1 – Rising two after a week off, beating Ole Miss 29-24.

9. Michigan State Spartans, 6-1 – Took over the Big Ten with a big win over Wisconsin 37-31, moving up six spots.

10. Kansas State Wildcats, 7-0 – Winning the Kansas derby, beating the Jayhawks 59-21, moving up two spots. Quarterback Collin Klein ran for four touchdowns.

11. Oklahoma Sooners, 6-1 – For now, until the huge SEC meeting next week and their game with Oklahoma State, the Sooners National Championship hopes have taken a huge shot, stunned by Texas Tech 41-38 at home.

12. Wisconsin Badgers, 6-1 – Another team free falling, losing to Michigan State 37-31.

13. Nebraska Cornhuskers, 6-1 – A 41-14 win over Minnesota didn’t move Nebraska anywhere.

14. South Carolina Gamecocks, 6-1 – Another non-moving team, taking a week off.

15. Virginia Tech Hokies, 7-1 – Always under the radar, the Hokies slowly move up the charts, this time after beating Boston College 30-14.

16. Texas A&M Aggies, 5-2 – The first two loss team, beating Iowa State 33-17 with two rushers running for over 100 yards, moving up a spot.

17. Michigan Wolverines, 6-1 – Not playing, still moving up a spot.

18. Houston Cougars, 7-0 – A 63-28 win over Marshall pushed the Cougars up three spots.

19. Texas Tech Red Raiders, 5-2 – A 41-38 win over Oklahoma moved Texas Tech into the rankings.

20. USC Trojans, 6-1 – Moving into the rankings as well, beating Notre Dame 31-17.

21. Penn State Nittany Lions, 7-1 – Also moving into the rankings after beating Northwestern 34-24.

22. Georgia Bulldogs, 5-2 – Didn’t play, but managed to move up two spots.

23. Arizona State Sun Devils, 5-2 – Didn’t play, moved up a spot.

24. Cincinnati Bearcats, 6-1 – A 37-34 win over South Florida moved the Bearcats into the rankings for the first time this seaosn.

25. West Virginia Mountaineers, 5-2 – Lost 49-24 to Syracuse, dropping them fourteen spots.
