Paris Saint-Germain? A return to England? Maybe even retirement? David Beckham probably ended his MLS career, which began in 2007, as a champion. Same as he did when he left Manchester United, despite his notorious clashes with Alex Ferguson. The same way he left Real Madrid, despite probably being the biggest symbol of the failed Galacticos era.

Beckham had his best season with the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2011, scoring two goals and adding 11 assists, leading the club to their first championship (the MLS Cup) since 2005. Having Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane on board, especially Donovan, didn’t hurt Beckham from leaving LA as a champion.

While his future foggy, which also has straight implications on the future of the MLS and where does it go now in terms of allowing clubs to sign big names for more money, it’s a good time to look back at Beckham’s 2011 season with this video showing all of his goals and assists during the chase for the MLS Cup.
