2011 College Football Season – BCS Standings

The final BCS standings of the 2011 College Football regular season didn’t disappoint if you’re an SEC fan and especially an Alabama fan. Despite not playing in Week 14 and not even being involved in the conference championship game, despite already blowing their chance against LSU earlier this season, the Crimson Tide will get another shot on January 9, 2012.

Oklahoma State did what it had to – convincingly beat their biggest rivals, Oklahoma, 44-10, to clinch the Big 12 title. Big 12 champions against SEC champions. Sounds fitting for a national title, right? The rankings decided differently. Both polls gave Alabama the no.2 spot, and the computers finished the job. Nick Saban’s Alabama will play LSU for the national title game in New Orleans. Mike Gundy and Oklahoma State will settle for the Fiesta Bowl against Stanford in Glendale.
