Dallas did celebrate their NBA title, won last June in a great finals series against the Miami Heat, but opening night on Christmas day didn’t bring any good news for Mavs fans. Their team looked slow, lazy and rusty as the Miami Heat ran all over them en route to a 105-94 win, that should have been a lot less closer.
LeBron James had one of those unstoppable nights, Dirk Nowitzki was less than ordinary and it wasn’t a fair fight from the first quarter. Luckily, the Mavs do have incredible cheerleaders, giving fans the only thing to smile about last season.
