Being an agent, 101 – Say Manchester City are interested in you. It doesn’t have to be true, but it’ll get your price to skyrocket. Not that Eden Hazard needed any hype, with the Lille star being one of the more coveted players in Europe recently. Still, it never hurts planting around links to big clubs.
It actually may be true. Manchester City haven’t run away with the Premier League as expected after beating Manchester United 6-1, and the two teams are level at the top of the league, with City having a goal difference edge. Another player to the star studded squad might be in plans, even if Samir Nasri and David Silva are pretty much at the same position.
The Belgium international’s agent, Marc Fourmeux, is expecting Manchester City’s manager, Roberto Mancini to make a big once the January transfer window opens up. According to the agent, City’s offer will be around €30 million Euro, signing him and then loaning him to Lille for the remainder of the season. Hazard has already said more than once he plans to finish out the season with the French Champions.
Hazard, who will turn 21 on January, is in his fourth full season with the Lille senior club and has scored 7 goals so far this season, already matching his output from the title winning season in 2010-2011. So far, Lille put in a respectable Champions League showing and are third in the Ligue 1 charts, four points behind PSG.
Despite Manchester City being the first in line to offer big money for Hazard, his agent claims his desire is to be a Real Madrid player – His future is in any case destined for a big European club like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, AC Milan, Inter or Juventus. For Hazard, the president of Lille wants to receive €40 million while the player himself has declared that he wants to play for Madrid.
