Carlos Tevez Between Inter and AC Milan

Carlos Tevez is done at Manchester City, has been for quite a while now. Roberto Mancini can’t stand the sight of him, Tevez has been in Argentina since November, last playing a match in late September. Most of the rumors regarding his departure have focused around Milan in Italy, with both champions AC Milan and Inter competing for his services.

Tevez is under contract until 2014, and City have no intention of loaning him out. AC Milan’sĀ preferredĀ deal is a free loan this season and to purchase him during the summer, something along the lines of the Zlatan Ibrahimovic deal. City are looking to sell for something aroundĀ Ā£30-25 million, which at the current state of affairs, seems very difficult toĀ receive.

Mancini himself has said that Tevez’ sale is crucial for his January transfer window plans –Ā I hope there will be a good result for him in January because he has not played for three months. We are holding outĀ Ā for a permanent move which would reflect his ‘fair market value’.

Inter, according to Kia Joorabchian, didn’t make a move since August, and only recently, since Milan’s own desire to sign the striker has turned into an actual offer, did the nerazzurri make a move. Massimo Moratti is also hoping for a loan deal till June and then sign him forĀ ā‚¬27 million.

If you do something you don’t do it as a joke, but because you think it can be a good operation.Ā We’ve acquired information on how things are going, there’s room to act, we’ll see if we can do it or not. There are still three weeks left. It’s not about being optimistic but rather seeing how things are.

As to Tevez’ own desire, which always seems like a fickle thing, he probably prefers the champions, although you never know with Tevez, who has been one of the highest paid players in the world inĀ recentĀ seasons but has said and acted more than once like a man sick of the sport and the pressures of the top leagues in Europe.
