The Ridiculousness of the LeBron – Perkins Twitter Feud

America forgot about hating LeBron James for the wrong reasons and went back to Michael Vick. Why? There’s wasn’t anyone evil enough for the past 12 months, so it’s easy going back to the guy who had dogs fighting each other to death, and pretty understandable.

Kendrick Perkins got destroyed by Blake Griffin. It’s never nice getting posterized, especially not like that. And while someone like Perkins gets dunked on quite a lot, just for the fact that he tries to block every shot in the paint possible, the reaction to Griffin’ filthy jam was a bit too much for the Thunder center to bottle in.

So he went after LeBron James because of his twitter comments. Twitter has made off-screen and off-court life much more interesting, with personal feuds between players open for all of us to see. And although they shouldn’t be commenting on everything happening in the world, just because pressing the tweet button tends to get them into trouble, it’s us who enjoy.

So why does Perkins go after LeBron? Dirk Nowizki, Chris Paul, Stephen Curry, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Gordon, T.J. Ford, Rudy Fernandez, C.J. Miles, DeMar DeRozan, Rasual Butler, Courtney Lee, Marcus Thornton, Dorell Wright, Al Thornton, DaJuan Summers, Damien Wilkins, Omri Casspi, Amir Johnson, Matt Carroll and Kevin Love all tweeted about Perkins getting humiliated.

Guys playing for Boston aren’t great LeBron fans, or at least they don’t seem to be. Perkins and Glen Davis especially, during the playoff series and also earlier last season when James began his Floridian way, went after him verbally. What can you do, being so talented but not getting to wear that ring kinda promises the big trash talkers to come after you.

LeBron has made himself an easy target, and not by actually meaning to. Still, he shouldn’t sweat Perkins being rubbed off the wrong way because of a tweet. Just don’t try to block Blake Griffin next time, and everything will be alright.
