Tiger Woods hasn’t won The Masters since 2005, his fourth win at Augusta, which isn’t preventing many to predict, based on Woods’ win at the Arnold Palmer invitational, that he’ll be back to his winning ways and take home his 15th Major Championship title.
Woods does own the tournament score records, with an aggregate 270 from 1997 and a -18 to par from the same year. But a favorite? After winning his first tournament in over two years? Hold on. Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Phil Mickelson. All these guys have as much of a shot as Woods, despite his improved long game, to win the tournament.
Donald because he has been so consistent over the last year or so, McIlroy because he’s won a major and will probably learn from his collapse last year. Westwood has been playing great of late, and Mickleson is always in contention, with three Masters title to his name.

How about last year’s champion, Charl Schwartzel, the second South African in four years to win the title? He hasn’t won a tournament since that improbably victory 12 months ago.
