Pek Cowan wasn’t about to let Joe Pietersen come up with another brilliant counter attacking run like he did a month earlier against the Highlanders, so he just stood his ground, while the stumbling fullback raced straight into him and got floored with a huge tackle by the Force’s Prop.
It didn’t do much good in the end result. The Stormers, leading the South African conference of Super Rugby this season with 37 points so far, two behind the Chiefs (NZ) who lead the overall standing, won the match 17-3 with tries from Bryan Habana and Peter Grant.
The Force, as usual, are one of the worst teams in Super Rugby having won only two matches so far this season, last in the Australian Conference and third worst in the whole league, with the Blues and the Lions having won only one match so far this season.
