Being the girlfriend of Iker Casillas, some say her presence distracted him when Spain lost in the opening match to Switzerland. That theory proved rather ridiculous as Spain won the World Cup. Two years later, she was probably one of the main attractions at the Euro right from the start. Casillas conceded only one goal in six matches. No one talked about any distractions.
