Kenny Miller Double Helps Rangers Beat Celtic 2-1 in Old Firm Derby

The first half produced all three goals as Rangers climbed back to the second position, narrowing Celtic’s lead to one point, with Kenny Miller scoring two goals in the first quarter hour of the match. Celtic got a penalty later on, but McGeady’s goal was only enough to bring back Celtic into the game and no more.

The trademark match of the SPL was as usual, very aggressive, at times a bit over-aggressive and fast paced but didn’t produce too many moments of quality soccer. Maybe that’s why these two teams aren’t doing too well in their continental matches. But for a few times each year, these games in Ibrox or Celtic Park give the Scottish Premier League a bit of sunshine and international interest, before they sink back into the shadows of bigger and better leagues, at least for now.
