Efrain Juarez Suffers Horrific Broken Arm Injury During Match

Shortly after returning to the Mexican league and joining Club America after two disappointing seasons in Europe, it looks like Efrain Juarez will be out of action for quite a while after breaking his arm, falling badly from a tackle in the Mexican cup match between America and Correcaminos.

The talented 24 year-old made quite an impression on a few teams before and during the 2010 World Cup with Mexico, getting him a deal with Celtic in Scotland, leaving Pumas in Mexico. Juarez never got it going in Celtic, playing only 13 matches on his first season with the club. The next year saw him loaned out to Zaragoza in Spain, where Juarez couldn’t grab a spot in the starting lineup as well, leading to his departure from Europe back to Mexico and Club America.

After losing 4-3 to Correcaminos, America bounced back with a 6-0 victory in the second leg of matches between the two. Juarez got injured during the first half, falling badly after taking flight escaping a tackle, but landed and bounced awkwardly, getting his hand all twisted from the crash, ending his day and probably a big chunk of his season.
