Best Goals of the Night – Oscar, Toni Kroos & Alyaksandr Valadzko

The night’s biggest surprise, BATE Borisov winning in France against Lille, provided the fantastic Alyaksandr Valadzko goal, opening the 3-1 win. However, the two biggest matches, Bayern hosting Valencia and Juventus visiting Chelsea, gave us the brilliant goals by Toni Kroos and Oscar.

Oscar will probably be the most memorable of the evening, as the young Brazilian made his Champions League debut and first start for the first team a special one, scoring two goals in the space of two minutes. His second one, which gave Chelsea a momentary 2-0 lead, will be on everyone’s highlight list when the season is over and the most technically impressive from the trio on this post.

Next up was Toni Kroos, who got to start for Bayern in their 2-1 win over Valencia, grabbing the spot of Thomas Muller in the lineup, playing behind another substitute (usually), Claudio Pizarro. Kroos’ goal came in the second half (76th minute), giving Bayern a 2-0 lead that practically ended Valencia’s chances of mounting a come back.

And the fina in our trio of goals belong to Alyaksandr Valadzko, a 26 year old Belorussian of Polish descent, usually playing as a defensive midfielder. Borisov created only six chances on the night, but scored three of them. Lille had 26 shots at goal, scoring only one. Valadzko opened the scoring with a shot from a galaxy far, far away, ending up in the top corner.
