Mustapha Durak With a Halfway Line Volley Goal

A lot of great goals need terrible keepers, but Mustapha Durak scoring a volley from nearly the halfway line in Niort’s 4-2 win over Dijon in a French Ligue 2 match was a brilliant goal, regardless of the keeper’s position in the goal.

Durak, a 24 year old French striker who began his career with Strasbourg, has been with Niort since last season, since then scoring 10 goals in 31 league matches for the club, helping them move up from the third division to Ligue 2 last season.

This year, he’s already scored 5 goals including the hat trick against Dijon, putting Niort at 10th place in the division, currently six points behind the place that leads to the top flight. His wonderful performance against Dijon was capped off by his beautiful and creative volley, or more like a no-look 45 meter volley, catching the Dijon keeper unaware.
