Blake Griffin Humiliating Deron Williams

Blake Griffin Humiliating Deron Williams

Thanks to the Brooklyn Nets beating the Los Angeles Clippers 86-76, Deron Williams could look back at being blocked by Blake Griffin in quite a humiliating fashion and take it with a smile. In the NBA, a league filled with big egos, sometimes you’ll find a player who still prefers to remember the win and not what he did himself.

You needn’t except anything else when Deron Williams, not a small guy at all for a point guard, goes up against one of the more impressive athletes in the NBA. Blake Griffin is trying to grow out of the highlight film monster he is and become a more complete player. A better defender, a better passer, a better and more varied player. It works for him, this season at least, when he’s playing at home, where the Clippers are 5-2, 8-4 overall.

Deron Williams didn’t have a good night anyway, finishing with 11 points and 8 assists while shooting only 3-10 from the field, but it was about a fourth quarter in which the Nets, now 7-4 (5-1 at home) allowed only 29 second half points, 13 in the fourth quarter. He had enough to be proud of so he could joke about the block after the game on twitter.
