Wiyam Amasha Scores a Rabona Goal After the Miss of the Season

Sometimes, a little bit of good needs some bad before it to get even more credit than it deserves. Idan Vered of Maccabi Haifa produced one of the misses of the season, but Wiyam Amasha followed through in the rebound, scoring a rare Rabona goal to make up for his teammate’s mistake.

Maccabi Haifa beat Hapoel Acco 3-1 in an Israeli Premier League match (Ligat Ha’al) that pushes them into third place after a terrible start to the season – six points behind league leaders Hapoel Tel Aviv and five behind Maccabi Tel Aviv, who also have a game in hand they need to complete.

Acco were the first to score in the match, going down 1-0 ahead at half time. Haifa, playing at home, were robbed of a goal (wrong hand ball decision) and a penalty kick, but made up for it in the second half with a brace from Chen Ezra and the fantastic Amasha goal.
