As the Miami Heat picked up their 16th consecutive victory, LeBron James notched his 200th consecutive game for the Miami Heat with 10 points or more, extending his franchise record. While Kevin Durant is usually heralded as the top offensive force in the NBA, no one is remotely close to James when it comes to consecutive games of scoring in double figures.

In fact, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are the only players with their streaks extending to the previous season. Kobe Bryant? He had a 165 game streak until February 12 this season, when Bryant scored just four points in the win over the Phoenix Suns.

Ty Lawson, Denver Nuggets – 22

The Nuggets’ point guard is enjoying his best NBA season so far, averaging 16.8 points and 7.2 assists, leading the Nuggets to a 41-22 record so far. He began his current streak on January 18 with 29 points in a loss to the Washington Wizards, and had his best game of it with 30 points on the Nuggets’ last game of February in a 111-109 win over the Blazers. His previous longest streak was 19 games last season.

Al Jefferson, Utah Jazz – 30

Al Jefferson hasn’t played since February 27, the last game so far on his 30 game streak of scoring 10 points or more. It began with a 12 point game in December, beating the Orlando Magic. The last time he played he had 26 points in a home loss to the Hawks. He’s averaging 17.7 points and 9.4 rebounds in what might be his final season for the Jazz. Jefferson has had a 59 game streak which ended last season.

Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers – 31

Griffin is averaging less than in his first couple of seasons, but most would agree he’s a much better and complete player in his third NBA season, with 18.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Griffin is on a 31 game double-figure scoring streak, beginning with 12 points on January 1 in a loss to the Denver Nuggets, and currently ending with 17 points in a loss to the same Nuggets. Griffin has had two longer streak (67 & 59) previously.

Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat – 47

Wade is averaging 21.7 points per game this season, showing in the last couple of months (23.9 points in February, 24.5 in March) that talks of a serious decline were a tad premature. He began his streak in November, coming off an injury with 28 points against the Bucks. He scored 24 points in the Heat’s win over the Magic to extend the streak to 47. He’s had streaks of 148, 111, 78 and 51 in the past.

James Harden, Houston Rockets – 49

Harden is showing this season just how good of a player he can be with the right amount of playing time and responsibility, averaging 26.3 points per game for the Rockets. Since scoring 6 points in a loss to the Utah Jazz in November, he hasn’t scored less than 15 during his current streak, not going below 21 points on his last 11 games. This is the longest streak of his career.

Tony Parker, San Antonio Spurs – 50

Tony Parker is once again having one of those seasons that gets him thrown into the MVP discussions, but everyone knows he’s not coming away with the award. He’s averaging 21 points per game this year, leading the Spurs to the best record in the NBA so far. He’s going to be out for a while, but his current streak is the longest thus far in his career, beginning on November 13 in a win over the Lakers (19 points), carrying on so far until March 1, scoring 13 against the Kings.

David Lee, Golden State Warriors – 57

Lee is having another season with impressive numbers (18.9 points, 11.3 rebounds), hiding the fact that he’s a terrible defender. He had two games with under 10 points out of the first three to open the season, but has been scoring in double figures since early November, still 15 games short of his career best 72 game streak. He had 17 points in the last Warriors game, beating the Sacramento Kings.

Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder – 66

While Westbrook will continue to take a lot of heat for his shot selection and playing style, he’s averaging 23.6 points and 7.8 assists this season. His double figure scoring streak extends to last season, beginning with 15 points in an April 18 win over the Phoenix Suns. A couple of nights before that, Westbrook scored only 9 points in one of his 4-16 shooting nights, the last time he’s scored in single-digits.

Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder – 304

The last time Kevin Durant scored less than 10 points in a game, it was the 2008-2009 season, on February 27, in a 110-108 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Durant scored 6 points in 8 minutes before going down to an injury that took him out for a couple of weeks, in the last season that the Thunder missed the playoffs in. In his entire career (441 games) he’s had only 8 in which he scored 9 points or less. He’s averaging 28.7 points per game this season, en route to another scoring title, possibly.

LeBron James, Miami Heat – 478

The last time LeBron James scored less than 10 points was on January 5, 2007, while still being a Cleveland player. He scored 8 in a 95-86 win over the Bucks, having a terrible 3-12 shooting night. That was the end of a 161 game double-figure scoring streak for him, which he has since surpassed with his current one, going on more than six years, getting pretty close to 500. He’s averaging 27 points per game this season. In his 748 career games, he’s had only 8 with nine points or less, six of them coming in his rookie season.
