It’s going to take time, maybe forever, until Goran Dragic is loved by Phoenix Suns fans like Steve Nash was and still is, but that doesn’t mean Dragic can’t get the upper hands in an individual battle between the two, using Nash’s open legs to deliver what is probably the best assist anyone has seen this NBA season.
When it came to individual numbers, Nash did score 19 points, beating Dragic’s 12, but the Slovenian also had 10 assists and won where it’s more important – The overall score, as the Suns humiliated the Los Angeles Lakers with a 99-76 win, derailing those playoff plans the Lakers felt so good about, and Dragic got to humiliate Nash with some between the legs action.
With the win, the Suns still advance nowhere but to a more respectable record (23-45), while the Lakers fall to 36-33, although luckily for them the Utah Jazz lost another game, keeping the one game advantage over them for the final spot in the Western playoffs.
