While the Sacramento Kings are heading towards another season of, well, nothing, in what might be their last season in the city, DeMarcus Cousins keeps showing these outbursts of talent that make you go wow, like making mince meat of Anthony Randolph from the Denver Nuggets, helplessly trying to stand in the way of Cousins, en route to a vicious posterizing dunk.
It didn’t help the Kings when it comes down to it – Denver won 101-95, making it 15 wins in a row. Sacramento are now 23-45, as it looks like this season, and the future of the franchise in the capital of California are pretty much over.
Cousins, as on most nights when his inside demons don’t get to him, finished with a very impressive 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks stat line. It was good enough to keep the game close until the final quarter, when the Nuggets turned up the pace and ran away with the game. Cousins is averaging 17.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game this season.
