LeBron James Dunks After Using the Backboard to Assist Himself

Sometimes, the only person you can rely on is yourself, so when you’re LeBron James, with all of the pluses and talents that includes, not using help from anyone else isn’t such a bad thing. Take for example his impressive improvisation in the Heat’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks, by avoiding an awkward situation with some ingenuity, using the backboard as a platform to assist himself and set up a dunk.

Leading a 2 on 1 fast break, James took to the air with the intent to draw Monta Ellis up with him, leaving Mike Miller open for the easy two. Ellis, the one who turned the ball over, did the right think and blocked the passing lane while James was already in the air.

Instead of turning the ball over, James simply used the backboard as his escape, bouncing the ball off of it, finishing with an easy and innovative two points. The Heat won the game 94-83, led by James, scoring 28 points.
