Without too much to be playing for as the 7th spot is clinched for the Boston Celtics, they didn’t put in their biggest effort to try and beat the Brooklyn Nets, which are a better team anyway to begin with. At least Brandon Bass, someone the C’s need desperately to step up in order to get past the first round in the NBA playoffs, lifted off to produce the biggest dunk of his career.
Bass isn’t exactly known for his explosiveness near the rim. He has a decent jump shot and good off the ball movement, which usually gives him open looks around the paint, although it hasn’t helped him average more than 8.5 points per game this season.
In the 101-93 loss to the Nets, Bass rose early with a two-handed dunk, blowing by Reggie Evans and dunking on Brook Lopez. He finished with 10 points and 3 rebounds.
