Miroslav Klose Scores 5 Goals in 60 Minutes (Lazio vs Bologna)

While Juventus were off securing their second consecutive Serie A title, Miroslav Klose showed that he can still score at the highest of levels, needing only 60 minutes to lead Lazio to a 6-0 win over Bologna while scoring five goals before being substituted to a standing ovation.

Roberto Pruzzo is the only Italian player to ever score 5 goals in a single Serie A match, accomplishing the feat for Roma in 1986, but Klose becomes the much bigger name to do it for the other Rome team. Hernanes scored the sixth goal for Lazio.

With these five, Klose improves to 15 goals in 26 matches during his second season in Italy, hoping to do enough to secure himself a spot on the German roster for the 2014 World Cup despite his age (turning 35 in a month). Lazio move up to 7th with the win, hoping that Inter fail to win later on against Napoli, putting Lazio only three points behind the final the fifth place and the final league ticket to the Europa League.
