No that it mattered, but Manchester City celebrated the sacking of Roberto Mancini by making sure they’ll finish second this season, beating Reading 2-0, which included a marvelous opening goal from Sergio Aguero, finishing off a fantastic one-touch passing sequence which began with Gareth Barry, continued with James Milner and David Silva before reaching the Argentina striker.

Edin Dzeko scored the second goal that put City firmly in the second place before the finishing weekend to the season, making it a six point gap between them and Chelsea at third, which means City will be entitled to a bit more money from the Premier League for their better finish.

The Aguero goal, his 12th in a slightly disappointing season for him and obviously the team, came in the 40th minute, as James Milner began a corner kick with a short pass to Gareth Barry. The defensive midfielder passed it back to Milner as he was beginning to make his way into the box, immediately finding David Silva, who repeated Barry’s action and completed another 1-2 with Milner, already deep in the reading box.

From here all he had to do was find the wide open Aguero, who only needed one touch to put Manchester City on the board for the first time in the match.
