It seems like Germany have a never ending supply of talented goalkeepers at a very young age, like Timo Horn of FC Köln, although it’s clear he still has some work to do on his game and dribbling skills, trying to juggle his way out of trouble in the season opener, instead conceding a rather foolish goal from Tobias Kempe of Dynamo Dresden.
In the second Bundesliga season opener, Köln arrived at the Glücksgas Stadium in Dresden and took a 1-0 lead thanks to Anthony Ujah in the 61st minute. However, thanks to Horn and his failed attempt at circus acrobatics, they didn’t return home with three points.
Horn didn’t receive the best of backpasses from his defense, but tried to avoid a corner and hop his way out of trouble as the attack was pressing on him instead of simply clearing the ball. Pretty soon he found himself out of the box, and a slight shove from a Dresden player took him out of the play, allowing Kempe to chip the ball quite elegantly and score the equalizer.
