Manchester United Transfer Rumors – Trying to Sign Gareth Bale With Cash & Chicharito

Gareth Bale Spurs

Earlier this summer, the idea of Gareth Bale ending up at Manchester United didn’t seem like anything but a crazy rumor, but the team’s frustration with their inability to succeed in the transfer market and the impending departure of a star player is leading them to take some drastic measures, offering Javier Hernandez and money to Tottenham for their Welsh star.

According to the Independent, United haven’t made any official offer for Bale, but the idea is brewing at Old Trafford. Tottenham are growing frustrated with Real Madrid not shelling out the money (Spurs value Bale at an illogical £110 million), while the player himself isn’t too happy about being forced to stay.

However, despite all the figures being thrown around, Real Madrid haven’t made the £100 million offer they claim to have the ability to make, and Tottenham sense that the stalling of the negotiations is a ploy to unsettle Bale, and the team might actually not have the funds necessary to make the deal happen.

United won’t offer £100 million for one player, that’s quite clear, or anything close to that. However, Chicharito hasn’t been the happiest camper for quite some time, and didn’t feature in the squad for the team in the Community Shield win over Wigan. He’s valued at close to £20 million by United, although it’s not quite clear if the rest of Europe or any team interested in him rate him that highly.

There’s also the matter of wages. United won’t be offering Bale whatever it was Real Madrid were willing to offer, and even in the case of Tottenham agreeing to sell their best player to a team they see as a direct rival to achieve their ambitions, the Welshman might not agree to move there knowing Real Madrid are still out there, offering the sums they allegedly are.
