While Arsenal had plenty of reasons to be happy with their 3-0 win over Fenerbahce in the first leg of their Champions League playoff clash, many are concerned with yet another injury, as Laurent Koscielny had to leave the match after getting kicked in the face by Pierre Webo, resulting in a bloody mess on the pitch and possibly something that will take some time to heal.
Usually, the injuries that bleed don’t take that long to heal from, but Koscileny took a nasty edge of a boot from Webo, who had the audacity to try and act like he was the one fouled in the play after dangerously raising his boot towards Koscielny’s head.
Arsenal enjoyed an excellent night from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud, scoring all three goals in the second half. Kieran Gibbs scored the first goal off a Walcott assist, followed by Aaron Ramsey making it 2-0. Olivier Giroud scored the third from the penalty spot after Walcott drew the penalty, making the second leg a mere formality, giving Arsenal another season in the Champions League and Arsene Wenger some breathing room.
