The status quo more or less remains, at least until all the matches are completed. For now, Arsenal remain at the top of the league despite remaining with 10 men for most of the second half. Liverpool, with their best performance of the season, are just behind, looking so dangerous with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
The biggest news of the day might have been Manchester United finally winning at the Old Trafford, coming back from behind twice against Stoke City, and giving David Moyes a huge breath of fresh air.
Crystal Palace 0 Arsenal 2: The Arsene Wenger keeps moving forward despite a less than impressive performance in yet another London derby. Mikel Arteta scored the opening goal through a penalty kick that was a very soft one, but was sent off slightly later with another bad decision from Chris Foy. As Palace were sending everyone forward, Aaron Ramsey with a subtle chip found Olivier Giroud for the clincher four minutes from time.
Norwich 0 Cardiff 0: A boring draw that didn’t help any of the teams, remaining below or near the relegation line.
Manchester United 3 Stoke 2: The Red Devils still playing badly, and David Moyes is still not really finding answers to tactical problems. He simply sends everyone forward and hopes for the best. Peter Crouch scored the opening goal for Stoke. Robin van Persie equalized, but Marko Arnautovic with a wonderful free kick put Stoke in front as well. United went gung ho in the second half and benefited from it: A Wayne Rooney header and then a Chicharito winner gave United only their second home win of the season.
Liverpool 4 West Brom 1: The best match and win for Liverpool this season, as Luis Suarez put in a wonderful performance with a hat trick, making it to six goals in four matches. Daniel Sturridge added another wonderful goal with an out-of-the-box chip to make it to 8 goals this season, while West Brom enjoyed a penalty that didn’t exist, James Morrison converting.
Aston Villa 0 Everton 2: The Villains can’t make it out of the bottom half with a home defeat to the red hot Everton, getting yet another goal from Romelu Lukaku and a finisher from Leon Osman.
Southampton 2 Fulham 0: The Saints remain the most surprising team in the Premier League, staying in the top 4 with another dominant win, this time over the terrible Fulham, getting first half goals from both their strikers, Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez.
