Manu Ginobili – The Best Bounce Pass in NBA History

At 36 years of age, it’s hard to expect Manu Ginobili to play like an All-Star each night. Still, his creativity, improvisation ability and passing vision remain of the highest quality, as his incredible half court bounce pass to Marco Belinelli in the 102-86 win by the San Antonio Spurs over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Ginobili picked up a steal in the second quarter, and had two options on both wings to finish the fast break – Tony Parker on his right, or Belinelli striding on the left, speeding while the Grizzlies seemed a bit slow to return back on defense. Ginobili picked the higher degree of difficulty in his pass, using a bounce pass from mid court to perfectly find Belinelli for the dunk.

The Spurs are now 11-1, the best record in the NBA, tied for the lead with the Indiana Pacers, winning their last nine games. Ginobili, into his 13th NBA season, finished the game with 15 points and 7 assists, and is averaging 10 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4 assists per game while coming off the bench.

There were many who thought Ginobili won’t recover from his awful performance in the two deciding games of the NBA finals, filled with turnovers and bad decisions from him during crunch time and an overall bad season. However, Ginobili and the Spurs decided to give it another go, and yet another ‘final chance’ of winning the NBA title, signing the Argentine for two more years.
