The 2014 NBA All-Star Game Players

The reserves to the 2014 NBA All-Star games have been named by the coaches, as players like John Wall, Chris Bosh and Roy Hibbert are joining the starters in the East while LaMarcus Aldridge, Dwight Howard and James Harden will be the big names on the bench in the Western conference.

The Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers have two players in the All-Star game. Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, John Wall, Paul Millsap, Roy Hibbert and DeMar DeRozan are going to play in it for the first time.

East

Guards – Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat) will be playing in his 10th All-Star game. He’s averaging 18.4 points per game this season, getting plenty of rest; Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers) will be making his second appearance. He’s averaging 21.6 points and 6.1 assists this season.

Frontcourt – LeBron James (Miami Heat) will be playing in his 10th AS game, and is averaging 26.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. Carmelo Anthony (New York Knicks) will be in his 7th AS game, and is averaging 27.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Paul George (Indiana Pacers) is in his second AS game, and averaging 23 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Reserves – Chris Bosh (Miami Heat), 9th appearance, averaging 16.9 points and 6.7 rebounds; DeMar DeRozan (Toronto Raptors), 1st appearance, averaging 21.8 points; Roy Hibbert (Indiana Pacers), 1st appearance, averaging 12.2 points and 7.8 rebounds; Joe Johnson (Brooklyn Nets), 7th appearance, averaging 15.7 points; Paul Millsap (Atlanta Hawks), 1st appearance, averaging 17.8 points and 8.2 rebounds; John Wall (Washington Wizards), 1st appearance, averaging 19.8 points and 8.5 assists; Joakim Noah (Chicago Bulls), 2nd appearance, averaging 11.7 points and 11.4 rebounds.

West

Guards – Kobe Bryant was voted in by the fans, but he won’t be taking part of the All-Star game and it remains to be seen who fills his place in the lineup and the roster. Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) will be making his first appearance, averaging 24 points and 9.1 assists this season.

Frontcourt – No centers, just forwards. Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder) was the most voted player in the West, making his 5th appearance, averaging 31.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. Kevin Love (Minnesota Timberwolves) will play in his 3rd AS game, averaging 25 points and 12.9 rebounds. Blake Griffin (Los Angeles Clippers) will play in his 4th AS game, averaging 23 points and 9.7 rebounds.

Reserves – LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland Trail Blazers) is making his 3rd appearance, averaging 24.3 points and 11.6 rebounds; Dwight Howard (Houston Rockets) is making his 8th appearance, averaging 18.1 points and 12.5 rebounds; James Harden (Houston Rockets) is making his 2nd appearance, averaging 23.7 points and 5.5 assists; Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers) is making his 1st appearance, averaging 20.6 points and 5.6 assists; Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks) is making his 12th appearance, averaging 21.6 points and 6.2 rebounds; Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs) is making his 6th appearance, averaging 18.1 points and 6.2 assists; Chris Paul (Los Angeles Clippers) is making his 7th appearance, averaging 19.8 points and 11.2 assists.
