Gerald Green With Yet Another Dunk of the Season

Gerald Green With Yet Another Dunk of the Season

There’s a very good chance Gerald Green wins the Most Improved player of the season in a month or so, but he’s also been upping the ante when it comes to the quality of his dunks, taking it to another level with this one over Mason Plumlee.

Green ran the floor after a Brooklyn Nets turnover, finding himself in a one on one with Plumlee. He took to the sky while it seemed like Plumlee was blocking his way to the rim. Green didn’t deter, pulled his hands away from the basket before continuing with his rise to the rim and dunking it after the small clutch with his hands to make Plumlee open a path. It wasn’t exactly a nasty posterizing dunk, but a very difficult one from a techincal standpoint.

It didn’t help the Suns beat the Nets in Brooklyn. The Nets won 108-95, getting a big 28 points from Deron Williams. Green himself came off the bench now that Eric Bledsoe is playing again, scoring 17 points in 31 minutes.

With the loss, the Suns fall 1.5 games behind the 8th spot in the West in an alarming slide late in the season, finding it too difficult to keep up with Dallas and Memphis. The Nets remain in the hunt for a better spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs, improving to 34-31 and winning their 8th game out of their last 10, two games behind the Bulls for at least one round of home court advantage.
