As someone mentioned, the only reason that makes following the Crystal Palace Youtube page worthwhile is getting a glimpse of videos by The Crystals, the football club’s cheerleaders squad, releasing a brilliant version of ‘I Love It’, a hit song from two years ago by Icona Pop and Charli XCX.
The girls aren’t signing, obviously, but simply making their own version of the video with the required lip syncing, and more importantly the right kind of moving around.
This wasn’t just a Crystal Palace project this time. After the success of previous video by the girls, they were contacted by the Saturday night TV show “Let Me Entertain You” on ITV, asking the girls to make a video for the song so it’ll take part in some sort of battle round.
The football club itself isn’t doing too badly this season, surviving and doing more than that in the Premier League by finishing midtable (11th at the moment) under manager Tony Pulis who came in the middle of the season and completely turned things around in terms of results and ability. The cheerleaders probably had a small part to play as well.
