Joey Barton was the one who opened the scoring in the third of the 6-0 weekend in the English Premiership, as Newcastle demolished the sinking Aston Villa (so it seems, looking at the rats deserting the ship). Barton has a mustache now. Apparently, it needs to go and he wanted to show his teammates that by signaling with his hand on it, while raising the other one to celebrate the goal. Nazi? I don’t think so. Bad choice of hand gesturing? Probably. It happened to Ian Walker a while back and I don’t exactly remember how that one turned out, but it faded away pretty quickly. Barton is sure to cause controversy in another way pretty soon, he can’t help it, but I don’t think he did anything on purpose this time. Take a look and be the judge.
