18 Best Memes of Kevin Love Joining LeBron James & the Cleveland Cavaliers

It’s official, although it’s been known for a very long time. Kevin Love gets traded, joining LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to play for a new big three on the Cleveland Cavaliers, and memes both commending and dissing the transaction were soon to appear.

There are two ways to look at what James did this summer by switching from the Miami Heat to the Cleveland Cavaliers. There’s the way that sees this as a noble act (while taking a maximum salary) by a player who wants to win a championship with his first team after breaking so many hearts when he left in 2010.

There’s also another way of looking at it: James wants championships, and doesn’t care where he can get them. The moment he felt things were falling apart for the Miami Heat, he changed directions and picked the Cavs, knowing he can build himself a new, younger, better Big Three, giving him a better shot at winning a title, regardless of the affiliation.

Let’s not forget the part the San Antonio Spurs played in all of this: If it wasn’t for their crushing 4-1 win in the 2014 NBA finals, who knows if James would have actually left the Heat to pursue title rings elsewhere.

There are more storylines to this: Kyrie Irving suddenly finds himself as being just another player instead of “The Man”; Kevin Love bolting (he’ll re-sign with the Cavs, per an agreement) as the Knicks, Celtics and Lakers were waiting to sign him in the 2015 summer; and how is this trade OK when the Chris Paul one was not? The bottom line: The Cavs are the best team in the East, and for the first time in forever the most interesting team in the NBA.
