Hilarious incident from the King’s Cup in Morocco. During a penalty shootout, the goalkeeper is able to stop the shot, and immediately turns to the fans and celebrates. While he’s doing that, the ball, on a spin from the save, slowly makes his way into the goal. The player who shot the penalty, seemingly defeated at first, quickly points to the ref and alerts him on what’s happening. The ref says “Goal”. The player celebrates. The goalkeeper? Kind of a dumb-ass.

That’s funny, maybe the goalie won’t be a show off next time.
LOL, OK that looks like fun dude.
Wow, that ref was an idiot.
Glad the shot counted!
Mission Accomplished! No wait…
Because it was a penalty shoot out, that goal should not have stood. Once the ball starts traveling away from goal, the passage of play is over. The ref got this one wrong.
If it had been during the game then, yeah, it would have been a goal.
Someone needs to confirm what Stuart said/the actual rule on this one…. I think the ball should still be in play and that was a legit goal.
Poor goalie.. but that’s hilarious.
i know, in ice hockey, the puck needs to remain in forward motion. does the same rule exist in soccer with the exception of natural movement of the ball?
