The best way to stay undefeated in the NFL? Go on a bye week. The Philadelphia Eagles lost for the first time this season, so as week 4 of the 2014 NFL season is about to come to an end, the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals remain the only two undefeated teams left with a 3-0 record.

The Eagles were also coming off three wins, all of them in the form of an impressive comeback from 10 points or more down. This time, against the San Francisco 49ers, they led early on, which might have been the reason they lost. But seriously, they played awfully offensively, with Foles completing just 21 of his 45 passes, intercepted twice and the Eagles wasted a 21-10 lead, getting shut out in the final 38 minutes of the game, losing 26-21 to the 49ers in Levi’s Stadium.

The Bengals have a big game on the road against the New England Patriots coming off this bye week. They’ve so far won against division rivals the Baltimore Ravens in week 1, an impressive road win against apperantly a very good team. Next came up two easy victories against the Atlanta Falcons (24-10) and then the quite abysmal Tennessee Titans (33-7) without having the need to put up big numbers. Andy Dalton is avoiding mistakes, Giovani Bernard is excellent number one back and receiving option, while A.J. Green is getting help from the very impressive Mohamed Sanu.

The Arizona Cardinals have looked less impressive in their three wins, all of them coming in quite close games. The first was something of a fluke – more of a mistake by Philip Rivers than a great game from the Cards, beating a very good Chargers team 18-17. Then came a 25-14 win on the road against the New York Giants, making the most of the Giants’ mistakes, and then came a 23-14 win over the 49ers, once again showing how bad San Francisco were in the second half until they met Philadelphia.
