Match Highlights – Chelsea vs Arsenal

No handshake between Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho who had an interesting moment as Chelsea remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier League after a 2-0 win over Arsenal to open a five point lead at the top, getting a goal in each half from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.

However, the thing that will be talked about more than anything will be Arsene Wenger shoving Jose Mourinho. Gary Cahill went in hard on Alexis Sanchez, flying in with two feet first, which should have gotten him sent off. Mourinho went over to talk to the assistant referee, which Wenger didn’t like, leading to the mini altercation, which should have seen Wenger sent off as well.

A brilliant piece of dribbling from Eden Hazard forced Laurent Koscileny to foul him inside the penalty box and the Belgian star, who had a quiet match, like most of Chelsea’s attacking players, converted the penalty kick.

Chelsea weren’t the dominant team in terms of possession or overall chances but were usually more dangerous than Arsenal, who find it difficult to create chances against the good teams. Petr Cech did come on for Thibaut Courtois, injured from a collision with Alexis Sanchez, but wasn’t troubled much.

The finish belonged to Chelsea as well and was probably painful to watch for some Arsenal fans, as Cesc Fabregas didn’t waste any time finding Diego Costa with a long ball after intercepting a ball. Costa had no problem beating Mertesacker and Koscielny to score his ninth goal this season, while Fabregas got his 7th assist.

Arsenal drop out of the top four with their first loss of the season, while Chelsea open a five point lead over Manchester City, leading the league quite comfortable so far.
